Quality Tester-Temp (1 year)
Join Yamaha Guitar Group, home to iconic brands like Line 6, Ampeg, Córdoba, and Guild. We are innovating in designing and building equipment for guitarists. We seek a Quality Tester to support product quality and user experience.
Hybrid position based in Calabasas, 40 hours per week, January 1 – December 31, 2026. One-year term. ResponsibilitiesThe Quality Tester will:
- Execute test plans and matrices, providing detailed reporting and record‑keeping.
- Perform ad‑hoc testing, searching for bugs by exercising likely real‑world user paths.
- Enter and maintain the current status of defects in bug databases, verify fixes and conduct regression tests.
- Assist with developing User and Developer documentation, including procedures, FAQs, and tutorials.
- Direct, frequent interaction with Project Leads, Engineers, Product Owners, and UX designers.
- Support Customer Support and Service teams.
- Knowledge of Line 6 Helix, other guitar modeling processors and related software.
- Experience with MIDI devices, audio interfaces, and pedalboards.
- Background in audio engineering or musical performance.
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Google G‑Suite and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of several Digital Audio Workstations (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Cubase).
- Ability to write detailed defect reports with minimal oversight.
- Experience with Jira preferred but not required.
- Pay range $20–$22 an hour DOE.
