JS Abrams, a boutique employment law firm in Woodland Hills, California, is seeking a passionate and driven Associate Litigation Attorney to join our team. We focus on advocating for employee rights and delivering exceptional legal services across California.
Responsibilities- Litigation Management:
Drafting, reviewing, and editing a high volume of legal correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. - Discovery Court Proceedings:
Responding to written discovery, preparing for and attending court hearings, and taking/defending depositions. - Trial Preparation Participation:
Leading and actively participating in all phases of trial preparation and execution. - Client Counsel Communication:
Maintaining regular and effective communication with clients, providing clear guidance and updates, and interacting professionally with opposing counsel. - Team Leadership:
Supervising support staff and ensuring all cases under your responsibility progress efficiently and align with firm objectives. - Strategic Contribution:
Achieving firm targets and benchmarks through effective case management and legal strategy. - Attending in-person meetings, training, court hearings, and depositions as required.
- Active California Bar License Required
:
Must possess an active license to practice law in California. Applications from candidates without an active California Bar License will not be considered. - Litigation
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation in employment law or a closely related field. Demonstrated success in managing a caseload independently and/or proven track record in all phases of litigation. - Exceptional Legal Acumen:
Demonstrated excellent legal writing abilities and meticulous attention to detail. - Passion for Employee Rights: A genuine passion for advocating for employee rights, as this is the core focus of our practice.
- Proactive & Ambitious:
An exceptionally motivated, proactive, and ambitious individual who efficiently manages multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality work. - Employment Law Experience (Preferred):
Significant experience in employment law is highly advantageous. Candidates with a strong civil litigation background and a demonstrated commitment to employee rights will also be considered, with comprehensive training provided.
Compensation: $122,500 - $160,000 yearly
