Weekend Medical Receptionist

Hours:

0800 to 1800 Saturday and Sunday only

About the Role:

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our client in Cheltenham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring clinically excellent services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and register patients; act as first point of contact Book appointments and update patient records Answer calls, handle queries, and pass messages to clinical staff Direct patients to appropriate departments/services Complete admin tasks (Accurately input data onto electronic record systems in line with trust guidelines.) Support clinicians by communicating patient arrivals or concerns Manage reception area, including opening/closing duties Handle busy queues, prioritising urgent cases (weekend pressure) Provide calm, professional support to patients and relatives Provide administrative support to clinical and operational management teams.

What We're Looking For:

Experience in a similar role within the NHS or a healthcare setting (preferred). Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). Letter typing skills (desirable but not essential).
