Network Engineer

Indigo is recruiting a Network Engineer to support and develop our DCN network infrastructure across on‑prem data centres and cloud environments. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on deployment, security, monitoring and optimisation within a multi‑customer, telecoms‑led environment.

• Configure and deploy network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Implement and support Fortinet and Cisco security solutions
• Operate and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, VXLAN)
• Develop automation and monitoring scripts in Python
• Monitor performance, analyse traffic and support capacity planning
• Deliver firewall, VPN and intrusion prevention solutions
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and network standards

• Proven hands‑on network engineering experience (CCNA level or higher)
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs and network security
• Experience with Fortinet (Forti Gate, Forti Switch, Forti Extender)
• Exposure to network monitoring tools (e.g. Solar Winds, PRTG, Wireshark)
• Linux familiarity and Python scripting capability
• Understanding of data centre infrastructure (rack, power, cabling)
• Exposure to Azure networking (or willingness to develop)
