Prepares Operating Room for surgical procedures and performs scrub duties which includes preparing the sterile field, passing of surgical instrumentation, anticipates the surgeon and under the direct supervision of the surgeon, assists the surgeon in the surgical care of the patient during the procedure as needed and within the scope of practice.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or a (TS-C) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 5 or more years clinical experience in perioperative setting and ability to scrub all specialties with the exception of cardiac.
