Production Manager, Manufacturing Production, Operations Engineer
Darigold is seeking an experienced Production Lead to be part of the plant team. The Production Lead will serve as critical front‑line support, being the first point of contact for production operators. The Production Lead is responsible for managing day‑to‑day production activities, assisting with equipment troubleshooting, and driving improvement processes.
ScheduleSunday‑Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 5:00 am–5:00 pm or 5:00 pm–5:00 am.
What You Will Do- The Production Lead will serve as a true strategic partner within the facility by:
- Coordination and delivery against the daily/weekly production plan.
- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Process Standards.
- Maintenance and monitoring any required inventory necessary to facilitate meeting production attainment or processing loadout schedules.
- Perform Quality Tests on products produced in accordance with company or regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with training new hires & cover breaks.
- Organize the assigned work area and perform ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing practices.
- Assist Maintenance members in routine maintenance and repairs.
- Collect information, accurately compute weights and measurements, and complete any required production reports accurately, maintaining any necessary paperwork.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work with groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds and lead by example.
- Ability to apply GMP procedures and practices to the system and ensure conformance.
- Self‑motivated with minimal oversight or supervision required.
- Ability to stand/walk for 12 hours and confidently traverse concrete and tile floors that may intermittently be wet with milk, water, or butter.
- Capability to climb up and down stairs, both expanded metal and catwalk.
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level and above shoulder height.
- Ability to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, rubber steel‑toed boots, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes preferred.
- One year of production experience preferred.
