Hourly Wage Estimate: $18.50 - $25.90 / hour

• Assemble all necessary equipment and supplies to meet patient and surgeon needs.
• Demonstrate a concern for efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Fulfill any position per the needs of the unit.
• Carry out processes designed to reduce risk and create a safe environment.
• Follow through on problems that may compromise effective job performance by using appropriate chain of command.
• Possess knowledge of microbiology, instrumentation and hand‑cleaning techniques of equipment and machines.
• Perform well in stressful and emergency situations.
• Print appropriate doctor preference list, assemble case cart and fill requisitions.
• Display team spirit by assisting with special project assignments.
• Follow established policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection.
• Be knowledgeable to perform all functions and operations pertaining to the sterilizers, and be responsible for operating sterilizers, aerators and monitoring cleaning.

• Successful completion of a program for operating room preferred.
• CRCST, CIS and CER or equivalent certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Frequent interaction with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients and their families.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of medical supplies is required.
