Food Preparation support volunteer

This unique program features an “older adults serving older adults” approach, where peer support helps foster a strong sense of community and belonging.

We’re looking for volunteers who are available on select Friday mornings to help with the preparation and facilitation of the program including some light cooking, serving, cleaning, and socializing with participants. If you enjoy working with others and want to contribute to a warm, welcoming environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Commitment:
Select Friday mornings – approx. 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Are you passionate about supporting your community and making meaningful connections? We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers for our Food & Friends program — a federally funded initiative that promotes food security and social connection among older adults.

Driving licence required as no public transportation.

Food handling preferred.

Minimum age 55, maximum age 99.

Police check not required. Resume not required. Driver’s licence required. Proof of vaccination not required.

This is a long-term commitment of more than 6 months, starting  and ending . Shifts are available on Friday mornings.
