Join the College of New Caledonia as a Counsellor dedicated to fostering student success. Focus on crisis intervention, academic advising, and personal development in a supportive environment.
This role requires a motivated individual with a Master’s degree in counselling psychology or related fields and five years of counselling experience preferred. You will be involved in clinical counselling, student retention strategies, and workshop development while promoting a positive atmosphere. Your contributions will support learners in achieving their educational goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical counselling and crisis intervention
• Develop student retention strategies for success
• Implement and assess student-at-risk programs
• Conduct student orientation and academic advising
• Collaborate with community agencies for resources
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in counselling psychology or related field
• Minimum of five years of counselling experience preferred
• Registration with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Commitment to cultural sensitivity and lifelong learning
