Job SummaryResponsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical switchboard and related equipment according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The role involves reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics, using hand and power tools, ensuring proper component installation, following safety procedures, maintaining an organized workspace, and collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble switchboard components, including circuit breakers, bus bars, and control panels.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Wire electrical components according to specifications.
- Perform quality checks and testing to ensure functionality and compliance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete assigned job duties within goal hours.
- Follow additional written and verbal instructions as necessary.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination with good eyesight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and assembly prints.
- Hold measurements to specific tolerance.
- Knowledge of fractions and decimals.
- Able to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Use power and hand tools.
High School
Minimum Years of Experience0-2
Specific Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience in a production environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Experience is a plus.
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment.
