Veterinary Assistant

MAC Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our friendly, compassionate team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for an outgoing, motivated assistant with a solid foundation in patient care and handling who loves building meaningful relationships with clients and their pets.

• Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow.
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity.
• Support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.

This position is ideal for team members who excel in client engagement and schedule management while delivering exceptional care and communication.

• Flexible full-time or part-time opportunity
• Availability needed Monday–Friday
• 2 Saturdays per month required
• We are happy to be flexible with scheduled days whenever possible

• Compensation: $12-15 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience

• 1+ year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Basic restraint
  • Oral medication administration
  • TPR / NT / AG
  • Exam notes / scribing
  • Client communication and education
