We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax-related activities, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of services to our clients.

• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Assist with personal and corporate tax preparation and filings
• Conduct financial analysis and provide internal support
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including:
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• General ledger maintenance
• Experience in:
• Financial reporting
• Preparing financial statements
• Account reconciliations
• Solid knowledge of Canadian tax preparation and compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial management systems
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and team interaction
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation or currently working toward CPA is considered an asset

• Salary: CAD $50,000 – $60,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
