Transdev Western Canada is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our head office in Calgary.
The Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing all aspects of the accounts payable function. This role is regional (Western Canada) and ensures vendor invoices are accurately processed and paid in a timely manner.
Your role- Process high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Verify invoice details, accurately code to general ledger accounts and reconcile discrepancies and eliminate duplicates.
- Manage the timely and accurate processing of payments, including cheques, ACH/EFT, and wire transfers.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding account status and payments.
- Experience in managing large vendor relationships with multiple accounts.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities and identify / communicate risks effectively and proactively.
- Collaborate with other departments to communicate and resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare monthly accruals.
- Assist with month end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Generate and distribute accounts payable reports as needed.
- Support annual audit by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Continuously improve accounts payable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Become a subject matter expert over the accounts payable processes and related systems, able to identify areas for process improvement and spearhead required changes.

- A salary of $58,000-$65,000 depending on experience.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of degree will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar finance role. Good understanding of the procurement lifecycle, three-way matching, GL coding and debit/credit financial accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, MS Dynamics, Tungsten AP Essentials/OCR, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong skills in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexible and able to pivot between priorities.
- Calgary (downtown) – minimum 3 days per week onsite with 2 work‑from‑home days.
