Calgary Operations Accountant

Overview

Be part of Canadian Natural’s leadership in the energy sector as an Operations Accountant based in Calgary, Alberta. Engage in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for A&D activities. This role is pivotal within the Acquisition and Disposition Accounting group, where you will ensure accuracy in Interim and Final Statements of Adjustments. The position requires advanced accounting experience and the ability to recommend process improvements while meeting tight deadlines.

• Prepare monthly journal entries alongside account reconciliations
• Analyze and create ISOA’s and FSOA’s for A&D processes
• Work with various teams to ensure accurate financial reports
• Prepare schedules for gains/losses and fair value adjustments
• Involve in special projects as required

• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Degree in finance or accounting
• Proven experience with complex transactions
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
