Assistant Controller

Position: Assistant Controller USA
Join Legacy Kitchens as an Assistant Controller overseeing accounting operations across Canada and the USA. This role demands strong organization skills, managing month-end closes, financial reporting, and team leadership.

As a hands-on Assistant Controller, you'll report to the Controller while managing daily accounting activities for both divisions. Expect to take charge of the month-end close process, oversee general ledger activities, and coordinate the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams. Maintaining accurate financial information and strong accounting processes is key to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process and reporting calendar

• Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations

• Generate consolidated financial statements and variance analysis

• Supervise the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams

• Identify improvements in accounting processes

Requirements:

• Progressive accounting experience in a private company

• Solid month-end close and general ledger skills

• Strong communication and organizational abilities

• CPA designation or progression toward certification

• ERP experience, preferably with Acumatica

Ensure timely financial reporting and enhance processes as the Assistant Controller at Legacy Kitchens.
