Position: Contract Accountant with Homes by Avi
Elevate your accounting career as a Contract Accountant with Homes by Avi in Calgary. This 14-month term focuses on month-end responsibilities, journal entries, and financial reporting.

In this role, you'll support the Assistant Controller and collaborate within the accounting team servicing our single-family divisions. Your expertise will be vital for completing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and GST filings on time. Strong organizational skills are key to maintaining effective workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end journal entries and reconciliations

• Generate internal financial statements and GST forms

• Conduct closings and compile other month-end reports

• Assist with various tasks assigned by the Assistant Controller

• Develop relationships with team members across divisions

Requirements:

Required:

post-secondary education in accounting

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Competency in Excel and Microsoft Office required

• Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is advantageous

• Open to utilizing AI tools for efficiency
