Corporate Accounting Specialist at CPKC

This role reports to the Manager of Compensation Accounting within CPKC. You will immerse yourself in complex accounting processes such as period-end closing and SOX compliance. Collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders will be key as you manage payroll activities, journal entries, and financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan accounting and reporting activities for period-end close

• Coordinate with stakeholders for accurate reporting

• Perform journal entries and reconciliations

• Prepare financial analysis for monthly and quarterly data

• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 3 years’ experience in accounting with payroll exposure

• Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable

• ERP/SAP expertise is an asset

• Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills
