Senior Accountant Position at Inter Pipeline

Enhance capital project management as a Senior Accountant with Inter Pipeline in Calgary. This contract role offers a chance to lead financial reporting efforts in a pivotal position.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Accounting for Transportation, as an Interim Senior Accountant, you will manage the preparation and review of capital project reports, ensuring adherence to IFRS and internal controls.

Your role will include month-end processes, journal entry reviews, and streamlining capital reporting procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end capital close and reporting packages

• Investigate discrepancies in account reconciliations

• Prepare monthly presentation materials for management review

• Classify and document AFEs in SAP

• Maintain documentation for SOX-compliant controls

Requirements:

• CPA designation with 5-8 years in accounting

• Experience in capital or project accounting

• Understanding of IFRS and internal controls

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Proficient in Excel with SAP experience
