Plant Accountant

Position: Plant Accountant Role
Become a key financial partner at a manufacturing plant in Calgary as a Plant Accountant. Oversee financial activities, cost accounting, and reporting to ensure competitive financial performance.

The Plant Accountant will report to the Corporate Controller and Plant General Manager. You will manage month-end closures, billing, accounts receivable, and payables while ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Additionally, you will improve accounting processes and drive cost-saving initiatives across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance

• Analyze manufacturing variances for cost-saving improvements

• Oversee billing processes and optimize cash flow

• Maintain vendor relationships and manage accounts payable

• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5-10 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing

• Proficient in cost and full-cycle accounting

• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

• Effective communication with operational teams
