Accounting Policy Advisor at CPKC

Reporting to the Director of Accounting Policy, you will provide technical accounting guidance to ensure CPKC’s external financial statements meet regulatory standards. Your collaboration with Finance and business teams will evaluate impacts of transactions and accounting policies while offering visibility across the organization. This role suits a CPA with 7+ years in financial reporting or technical accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Accounting Policy work plan and stakeholder alignment

• Monitor U.S. GAAP and SEC developments, updating policies accordingly

• Research and document complex accounting conclusions

• Collaborate with teams to resolve reporting matters

• Manage significant contract review processes and training

Requirements:

• CPA with 7+ years in accounting or financial reporting

• Experience in a public company or Big 4 firm

• Familiarity with complex contracts and revenue recognition

• Strong technical accounting research and analysis skills

• Excellent communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders
