Plant Accountant

Join a dynamic role as the Plant Accountant overseeing financial activities in Calgary, AB. Utilize your accounting expertise to support operational decision-making and ensure financial accuracy.

This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller and Plant General Manager. As a Plant Accountant, you will manage financial reporting, cost analysis, and transactional processes such as billing and collections.

Your role is crucial in maintaining cash flow and vendor relationships while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end financial close including entries and reconciliations

• Analyze financial statements to provide variance insights

• Oversee accurate customer billing and accounts receivable

• Ensure timely payments and maintain vendor relationships

• Maintain inventory accounting and internal controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5–10 years of manufacturing accounting experience

• Strong cost and project accounting expertise

• Attention to detail and analytical skills

• Excellent Excel capabilities
