Energy Safety Accounting Intern

Kickstart your accounting career as an Accounting Clerk Intern with Energy Safety Canada in Calgary, AB. This 8-12 month co-op covers AP, AR, and month-end procedures.

As an intern at Energy Safety Canada, you will gain hands-on experience while supporting the national safety association in the oil and gas sector. This role is ideal for students currently enrolled in accounting programs, as you will be trained in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Receipts. You will assist during month-end closes and contribute to various accounting tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Assist with month-end closing procedures

• Manage cash receipt entries

• Provide project backup and vacation coverage

• Support additional accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting program

• Previous accounting experience preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
