Cost Accountant

Position: Inter Pipeline Cost Accountant Opportunity
As a Cost Accountant at Inter Pipeline in Calgary, you will be instrumental in analyzing and reporting production costs in the polypropylene manufacturing sector.

Your role will focus on enhancing financial performance and supporting compliance efforts.

This pivotal position, reporting to the Senior Manager, requires you to monitor and report on feedstock costs while offering insights into manufacturing efficiencies. You’ll collaborate with various departments to develop new products and assist in presentations for leadership. Your work will directly support sound financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end accounting and manufacturing analysis

• Report on financial data accurately and timely

• Conduct detailed analysis of product costs and variances

• Prepare annual budget forecasts for polypropylene

• Participate in process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• CPA designation required

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of SOX and internal controls

• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
