Join Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) as an Expert IT Auditor and contribute to the improvement of governance and compliance processes. This full-time role offers a hybrid work environment for optimal work-life balance.
Reporting to the Lead Auditor, this position emphasizes independent, risk-based assurance aligned with IIA Global Standards. You will be actively involved in assessing IT controls and compliance while developing collaborative relationships across diverse teams. This is a chance to influence enterprise-wide audit practices in the electricity sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct audits consistent with IIA Standards
• Develop audit plans and conduct risk assessments
• Gather and analyze information to support recommendations
• Report findings to AESO management
• Follow up on open audit issues and client relationships
Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years in internal audit roles
• Comprehensive knowledge of IIA Standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements
• Experience with automation and continuous auditing techniques
