Senior Operations Accountant - Oil and Gas

Location:

Calgary Downtown, 5 days in the office.

Salary Range: $80 - $120K base

Our client, a small sized O&G upstream producer, is looking for a strong Operational Accountant for a 12 month contract term.

The role is 5 days in the office, with the offices being in downtown Calgary.

Key Responsibilities;

• Month end accruals and accounting;
• Analysis and preparation of operational accounting in oil and gas, including capital accoutning, month end reporting, JV accounting, etc
• Month end accruals for AFE and CAPEX expenditures;
• Allocating costs to different projects;
• Reviewing JV agreements and ensuring compliance;
• Reviewing and adjusting for budgets;
• Communicating with operations and field staff on a regular basis;

Requirements;

• 3+ years in a similar role
• 3+ years O&G upstream experience, ideally in a smaller company
