Junior Accountant

Job Type: Permanent position, Hybrid (3-4 days In-Office), Calgary, AB.

Job Salary: $60,000 / Year.

Our client is sourcing a Junior Accountant to join their team.

• Process accounts payable including invoice coding, approvals, and vendor payments (50-100 per month)
• Perform 3-way matching against purchase orders
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
• Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial data
• Support treasury activities including expense tracking (fuel, hotels, corporate cards)
• Manage cash receipts and assist with basic accounts receivable uploads
• Support month-end and year-end tasks related to AP, cash, and reconciliations
• Adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and Treasury functions (required)
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (non-complex accounting environment)
• Experience working with purchase orders and three-way matching
• Exposure to Net Suite is considered an asset
• Experience in Accounts Receivable is considered an asset
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a transactional, deadline-driven environment
