Join the Finance team, where accuracy and attention to detail drive financial success. The Revenue Accounting Analyst supports the accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of revenue transactions. This role involves assisting with revenue reconciliations, reviewing financial data for compliance with ASPE/IFRS, and supporting internal controls and audit processes. The analyst collaborates closely with Finance and cross-functional teams to help maintain the integrity of revenue data and support accurate financial reporting and effective financial controls.
This role is based on-site at one of our offices in Edmonton, AB (YEG) or Calgary, AB (YYC).
A Day In The Life- Perform revenue accounting activities and ensure revenue recognition complies with company policies and applicable accounting standards
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and working papers.
- Prepare and review reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable, restricted cash, processor fees, and related accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required
- Analyze revenue streams and financial results, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support management decision-making.
- Manage intercompany transactions, perform intercompany reconciliations, and prepare elimination entries to support accurate consolidated financial reporting.
- Research and evaluate accounting treatments for new revenue streams and complex transactions; prepare technical accounting memoranda, process documentation, and procedures to support financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and knowledge transfer.
- Partner with Commercial, Customer Experience, IT, and external service providers to ensure accurate revenue capture, reporting, and timely receipt of funds.
- Provide timely reporting of sales and earned travel revenue using the company's airline and financial systems.
- Support the implementation of new revenue initiatives, systems, and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including the preparation of supporting documentation and responses to audit inquiries.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
The Role

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- CPA designation (or working towards completion) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience within a medium-large organization, demonstrating analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills in managing moderate to complex financial and accounting issues.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS standards and their application to revenue accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Net Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience in the aviation industry is an asset.

- Ability to manage high-volume financial data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while meeting tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate across departments and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to identify trends and discrepancies in revenue data to support business decision-making.
- Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
