Contract Production Accountant

Join Harvest Operations as a Production Accountant in Calgary. This full-time contractor position is focused on managing non-operated oil and gas production accounting activities.

In this role, you'll report to the Team Lead and be responsible for validating third-party data and maintaining accurate revenue and royalty records. The position supports crucial financial reporting efforts while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. Your analytical skills will be vital in driving accuracy across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review monthly production volumes and sales statements

• Calculate royalties based on valid production data

• Reconcile operator reports and manage discrepancies

• Maintain production records and monitor operational changes

• Support revenue entries and audit documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• 3–7 years of experience in production accounting

• Knowledge of Canadian royalty laws

• Proficient with financial accounting systems

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
