Summary of Position:

The Project Coordinator, Accounting is responsible for supporting the optimization, and ongoing administration of the ERP [SAP S/4

HANA] system and accounting-related projects. This role serves as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, and operational business units to ensure SAP processes align with business requirements, financial reporting needs, and organizational objectives.

Accountabilities:

• Analyze existing accounting and operational workflows and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure system activities comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
• Support automation initiatives designed to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Document business processes, workflows, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives affecting accounting and finance operations.
• Assist with data validation, reconciliations, and audit support activities.
• Assist with change management activities and user adoption strategies.
• Set up third party subcontractors in SAP.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action registers, and status reports.
• Gather and document business requirements for system enhancements and projects.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies to CFO.
• Generate and analyze SAP reports to support financial decision-making.
• Act as a liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT, external consultants, and business users

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of SAP S/4
  
  HANA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in accounting, finance, ERP administration, or project coordination.
• Experience working with financial systems and accounting processes.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities.
• Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
