Full-Time Project Finance Role UCalgary

Join the University of Calgary as a Project Finance Administrator. In this full-time role, you will provide essential finance and accounting support while ensuring compliance with agency guidelines.

Reporting to the Manager, Research Accounting, this Limited Term position will last for approximately 6 months. You will be responsible for processing project expenditures and journal entries, while collaborating with project holders. Strong analytical skills and proactive problem-solving are vital as you navigate multiple deadlines under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform compliance reviews on project documentation

• Assist project holders in reconciling accounts

• Advise on transactions such as salaries and reallocation of costs

• Help prepare financial statements and special reports

• Respond to time-sensitive requests for information

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or accounting

• Minimum 3 years of related experience

• Experience with financial systems and MS Office Suite

• Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards

• CPA program enrollment is a plus
