Property Tax Clerk in Strathmore

Become a key player in Strathmore’s municipal finance team as a Property Tax Clerk, balancing flexible hybrid work with vital public service. Help improve tax operations while engaging with the community.

This role reports to the Supervisor of Accounting Services, focusing on municipal taxation processes. As a Property Tax Clerk, you will ensure accurate collection and processing of property tax payments. Duties include preparing tax notices, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with property owners and legal parties to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage collection and recording of property tax payments

• Prepare and issue tax notices for property owners

• Respond to public inquiries regarding tax issues

• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies

• Ensure compliance with municipal taxation regulations

Requirements:

• Proficient in MS Office Suite

• Post-secondary education in accounting or related field

• Two years of accounting experience, preferably in taxation

• Municipal experience preferred

• Familiarity with Diamond and Great Plains software
