Position: Calgary Senior Financial Accountant Role

In this position, you will manage essential accounting functions, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. A CPA designation and over 5 years of experience in accounting are required, along with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance processes during our financial system upgrade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee monthly and annual closing processes thoroughly

• Maintain the general ledger ensuring compliance

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports

• Assist with intercompany and fixed asset accounting tasks

• Mentor junior accountants and foster a collaborative environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field

• 5+ years of accounting experience, CPA preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit frameworks
