Corporate Accountant

BURNCO is seeking a Corporate Accountant for our Calgary office to drive financial excellence. If you're detail-oriented and thrive in collaborative environments, this is your chance to make an impact.

We are looking for two Corporate Accountants at varying experience levels. This role will involve managing monthly and quarterly financial reporting, reconciling all balance sheet accounts, and providing detailed analysis of key business drivers. You'll work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and provide insightful financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for management

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts ensuring compliance with ASPE

• Maintain and analyze prepaid expense schedules

• Post journal entries with attention to detail

• Support preparation of financial statements and MD&A narratives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• CPA designation or in progress toward CPA

• Hands-on experience in finance or accounting roles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly
