TheOpportunity
We are actively seeking an Accounting Technician & Client Coordinator to work full-time, on-site at our Client's
SE Calgary head office. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys more than just numbers. In this role, you will take ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting functions while also playing an important administrative role in bringing new clients into the business.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and confident navigating technology and multiple software platforms.

What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation along with excellent organizational and communication skills.
You will ideally have:- 3–5 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience
. - A post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
, or a related field. - Strong working knowledge of Quick Books and Payworks
. - Experience with payroll administration, GST, WCB, reconciliations, AR/AP, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of Alberta payroll requirements and Canadian accounting principles for small-to-medium-sized businesses.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing billable time, invoices, and financial data.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
- Experience in an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), professional services, consulting, or other fast-paced environment would be a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A high level of discretion when handling confidential financial, payroll, and employee information.
- A professional, approachable communication style and the confidence to interact with clients.

What You'll Be Doing- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable
, including vendor payments, collections, and account reconciliations. - Manage client invoicing and billing, including complex time-and-material billing
. - Review and audit technician time entries to ensure billable hours and expenses are accurate before invoices are issued.
- Prepare and file GST returns, WCB remittances
, and other required statutory filings. - Process bi-weekly payroll through Payworks
