Senior Accountant - Contractor

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant
- Contractor for a 6-12 month contract. Based in their Southeast Calgary office, this role will support financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office, 1 day remote), free on-site parking, and optional chef-prepared lunches. The ideal candidate is versatile, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entry preparation, review, and posting
• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile project costs and operating expenses
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Lead quarterly financial reporting, including financial statements, MD&A, notes, and supporting schedules for TSX-listed and SEC-compliant reporting
• Apply U.S. dollar functional currency accounting, including foreign exchange and currency translation requirements
• Ensure IFRS and US GAAP compliance through financial analysis, technical accounting research, and audit support

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation is an asset
• Well versed in IFRS and U.S. GAAP reporting
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated
