Job Description & Summary  Our group at PwC’s provides assurance (reviews and compilations), financial reporting, tax compliance, planning, and strategy services. We help businesses address financial reporting, complex accounting and assurance requirements, navigate complex tax regulations, and optimize their tax positions. In this group, you will help businesses prepare review engagements reports, compilations reports, financial statements, tax returns to confirm compliance with assurance & accounting standards and tax regulations.
The Opportunity  As a Senior Associate, you’ll work in our Tax Line of service as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities   Managing a variety of projects, including review engagements, compilations and tax compliance and planning engagements
Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas
Collaborate with juniors to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends
Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance

What you’ll bring   Drafting financial statements including note disclosures
Experienced in review and compilation engagements
Understanding of ASPE accounting standards & CSRE 2400 review standards
3 years of experience in a mid-size accounting or public accounting firm
Bachelors in accounting or in a similar firm
Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation is considered an asset and PwC will give the necessary support
Hands-on experience in accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep or iFirm
Understanding of Canadian tax and ability to prepare tax returns for corporations, trusts and partnerships
Creativity in problem solving in today’s dynamic environment, bringing your perspectives to the stakeholders
Excellent client relationship management skills
