Opportunity
Reporting to the Supervisor of Registration, Switchboard and Patient Information (RSPI), the Administrative Support III is responsible for responding to Patient Calls, Registration, Reception and may include Scheduling and Referrals. As an Administrative Support III registration clerk, you provide a critical function in supporting patients as they call, obtaining patient information and accurately entering information in the patient care systems. This position is expected to communicate effectively to provide exceptional customer service to the patients, clients and the general public.
If required, as a Registration and scheduling clerk, you manage assigned clinics that require collaboration with the Providers, Nurses and Unit Clerks for corresponding treatments, diagnostics or clinical trials.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
AdditionalRequired Qualifications
Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk Specialty and/or Post‑secondary education applicable to the position with Medical Terminology from a recognized training program - test will be administered. Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm - test will be administered. Familiar with the Connect Care Registration or Schegistrar with Referrals role. Minimum 3‑month experience within the last two (2) years specifically in Scheduling, Registration or referrals.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal and telephone skills. Ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary environment with constant interruptions and changing work demands. Must be physically able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift approximately 25 pounds.
Critical thinking skills, knowledge of ARIA and Netcare, MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
