Part-Time Receptionist Monday – Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Long-Term Temporary Assignment | SE Calgary
About Our ClientOur client, located in SE Calgary, is seeking an experienced and professional Part-Time Receptionist to join their team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being the face of an organization and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while providing administrative support in a busy office environment. This long-term temporary assignment is expected to continue through December 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Please note:
Reliable personal transportation is required, as the office is located in SE Calgary and note easily accessible via transit.
Reception & Customer Service
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and incoming callers.
- Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Welcome guests and maintain a polished and organized reception area.
- Respond to general inquiries and direct requests to the appropriate departments.
Administrative Support
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic records.
- Prepare correspondence and complete general word processing.
- Assist with filing, scanning, photocopying, and document preparation.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as required.
Office Coordination
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and courier deliveries.
- Prepare outgoing courier shipments and packages.
- Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient office environment.
- Provide additional administrative assistance as required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent receptionist experience in a professional office environment.
- Previous experience providing administrative support in a busy office setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills.
- Experience with multi-line phone systems is considered an asset.
- Comfortable learning new software and office systems.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
