Laboratory Information Centre Administrative Support

Support laboratory services at Avenida PSC through accurate data entry, clear communication, and responsive client service across Alberta. Work includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

As an Administrative Support III, you will use advanced administrative skills within the Lab Information Center. You will serve internal and external clients provincially, monitor worklists, communicate critical test results, and support complex procedures. The position also involves incoming healthcare provider calls, patient confidentiality, and specialized laboratory information tasks.

• Act as the initial contact for provincial laboratory services
• Monitor worklists and communicate critical test results
• Respond to healthcare provider calls about test results
• Process add-on testing, access requests, and faxed requests
• Arrange patient recollections and notify stakeholders about cancellations

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills
• Accurate data entry and basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• Medical terminology or laboratory information experience preferred
• Criminal record check or Vulnerable Sector Search required
