Automotive Technician

South Trail Nissan is looking for 3rd/4th year Apprentice and Journeyman Technicians!

Our location has no shortage of hours, and our technicians have the opportunity to produce 10-15 hours a day.

Given the nature of this role, select candidates will be required to complete a brief video submission as the first stage of our hiring process.

As a key member of our team, the Service Technician brings to life the ultimate service experience. The Technician is responsible for working attentively in maintaining, repairing, and servicing customer vehicles to ensure safety and customer satisfaction as well as overall department success.

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform the repair.
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Explain procedures and repairs directly to the Service Advisors.
• Perform road test and safety inspections.
• Able to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Lubricate all moving vehicle parts with specified lubricants.
• Operate hand or compressed air powered grease gun to inject grease into units (springs, universal joints, and steering knuckles).
• Inspect fluid levels of steering gear, power steering reservoir, transmission, differential, shackles and rear axle housings.
• Replace air and oil filters.
• Rotate, repair, and replace tires, when necessary.

• 3rd Year - 4th Year Apprentices welcome to apply.
