At AIMCo, technology is a key enabler of investment success. As a Business Analyst - Lead, Front Office Technology & Business Delivery, you will partner with investment and technology teams to deliver solutions that support AIMCo’s investment objectives.
Working closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Analysts, Risk Managers, and technology teams, you will translate business needs into actionable requirements, drive technology-enabled change, and contribute to initiatives across the investment lifecycle. This role is ideal for a collaborative problem solver who enjoys working at the intersection of investments, business processes, data, and technology.

What You Will Do

• Partner with investment, risk, operations, and technology stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

• Support initiatives from business case development through design, testing, implementation, and deployment.

• Lead small to medium-sized initiatives and contribute to larger enterprise programs.

• Perform root cause analysis, identify process improvements, and recommend technology solutions.

• Create and maintain user stories, process documentation, and product backlogs.

• Collaborate within an Agile/Dev Ops delivery model to support successful business outcomes.

• Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

You are an experienced Business Analyst with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy solving business challenges, and can effectively bridge business and technology teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, preferably within investment management, capital markets, pension funds, or financial services.

• Experience delivering technology solutions and supporting projects across the full delivery lifecycle.

• Strong requirements gathering, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience working within Agile, Dev Ops, or similar delivery frameworks, with strong knowledge of backlog refinement, sprint planning, and dependency management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of capital markets products and the investment management industry, with deep expertise in OTC derivatives, fixed income, and private markets.

• Experience with Azure Dev Ops and investment management platforms such as Aladdin, Sim Corp, eFront, or Bloomberg.

• Professional Business Analysis, Agile, or related certifications.

• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching other analysts.

• Proficiency in leveraging emerging AI tools to improve productivity, automate routine tasks, accelerate analysis, enhance decision-making, and drive innovation within business and technology environments.
