Our power & utilities client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support multiple data and analytics initiatives by translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable requirements including refining backlogs in an Agile delivery environment
Candidates can be located in Calgary or Edmonton - Hybrid work model of in-office and WFH. 37.5 hour work week
Must Haves- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analysis or Data Analyst supporting data and analytics initiatives
- Experience translating business needs into user stories
, acceptance criteria
, and actionable requirements for delivery teams. - Creating and maintaining documentation for data and analytics solutions and processes
- Experience with Power BI
, SQL
, and Azure/Databricks in data environments - Agile backlog management, user stories, and acceptance criteria development
- CBAP, CCBA, Scrum, or PMP certifications
- Supporting testing and UAT activities
- Business and data requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
- Gather business and data requirements
- Analyze and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Support solution design and implementation with data architects and engineers
- Manage and refine Agile backlogs
- Support testing and UAT activities
- Create and maintain documentation for data and analytics solutions and processes
