Senior Business Analyst Direct Insurance

Lead complex business analysis at Wawanesa through a hybrid work environment, connecting member needs, business processes, and technology across Canada.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support Wawanesa’s Direct Venture team in designing a new direct insurer. You will partner with Product Owners and delivery teams, analyze complex systems and processes, and maintain business intent from discovery through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead analysis for complex initiatives across processes, systems, and business areas
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs
- Define business rules, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Shape and prioritize delivery-ready backlog features with Product Owners
- Coordinate business acceptance testing and confirm intended outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Five-plus years of business analysis experience in agile environments
- Experience analyzing complex business systems and processes
- Strong facilitation, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and AI-assisted tools
