Position: Project Manager & Estimator (Municipal & Highway Road Construction)
Knelsen is one of the largest construction companies in Northwestern Alberta. We provide project management, gravel production, asphalt paving, and ready-mix concrete services to communities across Alberta.

Knelsen is seeking a Project Manager & Estimator to support and deliver municipal and highway road construction projects from tendering through to completion. If you have strong estimating skills and experience managing heavy civil projects, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
• Prepare accurate estimates, quantities, and tender submissions.
• Review drawings and specs to develop pricing and bid packages.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Plan and manage municipal and highway road construction projects.
• Work closely with field supervisors to meet schedules, budgets, and production targets.
• Conduct site inspections for quality, safety, and progress.
• Oversee material/equipment procurement and project documentation.
• Maintain compliance with company, safety, and industry standards.

What You Bring
• 10+ years of experience in municipal or highway construction (project management and/or estimating).
• Experience preparing tenders for road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of grading, base, and asphalt paving operations.
• Degree/diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is an asset.
• PMP or P.Eng considered an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Experience with Bid2

Win (B2W) is an asset.
• Ability to travel during construction season.
