Douglas Homes, a large volume home builder in Calgary and surrounding areas, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Labourer. If you have experience in the construction industry and have a dedication for delivering high-quality results, we invite you to apply for this position.

Job Summary

In this role, you will work closely with the construction team and will support the construction of high-quality homes in various communities, including Airdrie, Chestermere, and Cochrane. You will assist with general construction duties, support the Douglas Homes field team, maintain a clean and safe worksite, ensuring that our homes meet the exceptional standards Douglas Homes is known for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with general site duties – shoveling, sweeping, cleaning, moving lumber, small framing fixes and providing safe access to homes.
  • Support the Douglas field team with responsibilities as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, reporting any issues or hazards to the site superintendent or foreman.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools.
  • Transport materials and equipment to various job sites as required.
  • Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Help with any other general site responsibilities as delegated by construction team.
Qualifications
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
  • Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
