We are currently seeking reliable and hardworking General Labourers to join our Calgary-based field crews.
Position SummaryThe General Labourer supports civil construction operations by assisting crews on active job sites. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow direction, and a commitment to safety. Labourers must be dependable, punctual, and prepared for physically demanding outdoor work.
Key Responsibilities- Assist field crews with daily civil construction activities
- Perform general labour duties including:
- Site setup and cleanup
- Material handling and tool support
- Trenching, back filling, and excavation support
- Assisting operators and skilled trades as directed
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and site-specific procedures
- Attend daily on-site meetings and safety tailgate meetings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support other tasks as required by supervisors and forepersons
- Valid Class 3 or Class 5 Driver's License
- Clean Driver's Abstract (required)
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the shop, office, or job sites
- Local to Calgary (no fly-in/fly-out)
- Ability to work 5 days per week, with flexibility for additional hours when required
- Physically capable of performing manual labour in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
- Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
- Previous general labour or construction experience
- Civil, utility, or telecom construction experience
- Safety certifications (First Aid, Ground Disturbance, H2S, etc.)
- Experience working around heavy equipment
- Competitive hourly wages based on experience
