Who We Are

CANA has been a respected and trusted service provider in Alberta for over 80 years. We have built a reputation for delivering projects safely, on budget, and on schedule. Our approach is think‑straight, talk‑straight, do‑it‑right‑once, with no surprises. We are known for iconic buildings such as the Saddle dome, Taylor Family Digital Library, Bella Concert Hall at Mount Royal University, and the ATCO Commercial Centre.

Join a company where you can be part of the next iconic project that helps shape Calgary’s skyline.

The Role

Are you a Project Coordinator with 3 to 5 years of progressive experience looking for your next big step? Reporting to a Senior Project Leader, this role supports overall project performance, including cost control, schedule management, quality assurance, and reporting. You will handle subcontract negotiations, maintain close liaison with owners, engineers, and subtrades, and manage the technical and financial aspects of contracts.

The position is key to delivering Calgary’s most complex, high‑profile developments and major civic and entertainment projects that define the city’s skyline and urban experience.

You’ll be part of a high‑performing CANA project team that represents the company in daily interactions with consultants, clients, and community stakeholders. The role offers exposure to sophisticated construction systems, large multidisciplinary teams, and complex coordination between structure, architecture, and building systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment, demonstrates strong leadership potential, and embraces CANA’s values of professionalism, collaboration, and fair management of trades and suppliers.

  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in the construction industry as a Project Coordinator/Project Engineer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
