Role Purpose & Scope

BAAC Construction Inc. is seeking a results‑driven Civil Construction Project Manager to lead earthworks and large‑scale infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complex civil construction projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will balance strong financial oversight with hands‑on, field‑focused execution—ensuring every project reflects BAAC's commitment to reliable infrastructure and safety without compromise. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact while building long‑term client and stakeholder relationships.

Core

Duties & Responsibilities Project Execution & Management
  • Lead all phases of civil construction projects from planning through closeout.
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with contract requirements.
  • Develop and manage detailed master schedules, targeting 90% milestone compliance.
  • Coordinate and supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure full understanding of scope, risks, and execution strategy.
  • Monitor daily field progress and proactively resolve issues or delays.
  • Maintain alignment between field operations and overall project objectives across multiple work fronts.
Financial Oversight
  • Maintain strict control over project costs, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Target overall budget variance within 5% through accurate forecasting and daily cost tracking.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and detailed cost reports.
  • Lead change order management (CORs), including identification, documentation, pricing, negotiation, and client approval.
  • Oversee procurement planning and mobilization strategies to prevent unnecessary expenditures.
Safety & Quality Control
  • Ensure all crews maintain required safety certifications and are equipped with appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Foster a strong safety culture through regular site visits, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) standards and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Deliver complete and accurate project documentation, including redlines, as‑builts, and turnover packages.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, utility partners, consultants, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely updates, reports, and presentations related to schedule, budget, and production tracking.
  • Manage conflicts between client expectations and project constraints in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships that support repeat business and long‑term partnerships.
Leadership & Professional Standards
  • Provide coaching and support to superintendents, foremen, and field supervisors.
  • Set clear expectations for performance, accountability, and daily workflow.
  • Promote a collaborative, solutions‑focused team environment.
  • Model BAAC's professional standards through punctual attendance, responsive communication, and strong organizational discipline.
Qualifications Required
  • Proven experience managing civil construction projects, specifically earthworks or large‑scale infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, alignment sheets, and civil construction plans.
  • Proficiency in project management and financial forecasting software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Project, Trimble B2W, Asana, or advanced Excel reporting.
  • Valid safety certifications such as Ground Disturbance or Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE).
  • Working knowledge of the Trimble Platform.
  • Working knowledge of Smartsheet.
