Position: Civil Estimator for Utilities Projects
We are looking for an experienced Civil Estimator to join our expanding Calgary team, specializing in deep and shallow utilities, with a focus on paving and concrete works. Your expertise will drive cost-effective project implementations.

This role requires 2 to 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction. The candidate will review tender documents and prepare comprehensive estimates while collaborating closely with project managers and engineers. Your analytical skills will play a pivotal part in identifying project risks and preparing bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates for asphalt and concrete projects

• Review tender documents to determine project scope

• Conduct quantity takeoffs for accurate cost analysis

• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids thoroughly

• Identify project risks and integrate into estimates

Requirements:

• 2 to 10 years of estimating experience in heavy civil

• Ability to read engineering drawings effectively

• Strong proficiency in estimating software

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Minimum 4 years of onsite construction experience
