You’ll help manage documentation, support communication with trades and suppliers, coordinate project workflows, and contribute to delivering high‑quality projects across Alberta. you will be doing
- Document Control & Admin:
Provide administrative and document‑control support to Project Managers and site teams. Maintain project directories, logs, tracking tools, and electronic filing systems. - Workflow Coordination:
Coordinate distribution of drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, and change documentation. Assist with procurement, purchasing, submittals, and scope agreements. - Project Support:
Support estimating tasks including takeoffs, budgets, and change order preparation. Review drawings and specifications to support project execution planning. - Scheduling & Logistics:
Assist with scheduling updates, permit applications, and utilities coordination. - Financial & Communication:
Support project accounting tasks (progress claims, invoicing, forecasting, and cost tracking). Attend meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on outstanding items. - Close‑Out:
Participate in project close‑out, including assembling O&M manuals and as‑built documentation. - Relationship Management:
Build positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors while championing organizational values focused on safety, integrity, continuous improvement, and strong partnerships.
- Education:
Post‑secondary education in construction engineering technology (CET), engineering, construction administration, or a related field (preferred). - Experience:
Previous experience in the construction industry (site or office) is an asset. - Technical
Skills:
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with Viewpoint or MS Project is an asset. - Soft Skills:
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy, and the ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team setting. - Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of construction contracts, documentation, and administration processes. - Safety: A safety‑focused mindset; WHMIS and CSTS training are required.
$65,000.00 – $90,000.00
Working Conditions- Extended periods of computer work may be required.
- Travel to construction sites as needed; a valid driver’s license is required.
- Occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
- Site work may include exposure to outdoor conditions, walking, climbing, lifting, and required PPE use.
